Session One: VAT Schemes
There aren't many schemes to simplify VAT, but in this session, we'll cover the ones that do exist. You'll learn about them and decide for yourself whether they actually make VAT easier to manage.
We’ll cover:
- Cash Accounting
- Flat Rate Scheme
- annual accounting
- simplified tests for partial exemption.
Session two: VAT update
Staying up to date with VAT can be challenging, especially when you're busy. If VAT hasn't been a focus for you recently, this session will bring you up to speed on the key changes from 2024 and the past few years.
We'll cover:
- VAT on private school fees
- claiming VAT on motor expenses (including electric vehicle charging)
- VAT treatment of vouchers
- We'll also explain the Tour Operators Margin Scheme (which applies beyond just tour operators)
- review significant VAT cases that provide practical insights.
